Apprenticeships
Apprentices are an important resource for Elkem. Young people have a lot to contribute and can challenge established mindsets, while at the same time we have a lot of experience and knowledge that we want to share with the talents. The aim is to give our apprentices the best and broadest competence within relevant professional fields. Whether they continue as employees at Elkem, go to other companies or return to school, our ambition is to give them a broad foundation on which they can build on.

In Norway, Elkem has a close collaboration with the vocational schools and wants to give students an insight into how different study options can be practiced within our industry. School classes are invited to lectures and tours at one of our smelters. We participate in school projects where students work together with our employees in arenas that give them the opportunity to learn more about our industry.
