In Elkem Silicon Products, we put our customers first, and quality in our products and services is one way of showing commitment to such a priority. We believe that good quality products do not come by default, but rather because of structured work and discipline in every task and process we perform. The foundation for such is a solid Quality system. One team spirit is driving the Quality work, and processes in control is our target to meet and exceed customer expectations.

We also want to demonstrate commitment to our environmental obligations as we believe a sustainable future is beneficial to us all.

One of the best ways to demonstrate commitment to our philosophy as well as communicating this to the outside world, is to be certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Umbrella certifications covering all locations

To ensure all locations are included, Elkem Silicon Products has decided to go for an umbrella certification covering all units in our division, from raw materials and quartz mines to production plants, smaller processing facilities, supply chain activities and sales offices, as well as divisional management and support functions. Corporate supply chain functions in Rotterdam are also included.

This process resulted in the two umbrella certificates for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 issued by DNV, an accredited third-party certification body.

Such certificates act as incentives to continue and further improve our efforts towards standardisation, processes in control,  sustainable future and ultimately satisfied customers.
